Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort

The Sheraton Kaua‘i is one of five hotels that will be redeveloped as timeshare properties and transferred to Starwood Vacation Ownership, the separately traded spin-off company Starwood Hotels & Resorts. The 20-acre, 394-room beachfront Sheraton Kaua‘i, located in Poʻipū on Kaua’i’s southern coast, and recently went through a $16 million renovation in 2012. This added a lush open-air Ocean Courtyard lounge featuring tiki torches, conversation areas and 3 fire pits. WCIT Architecture is currently working with the owners to convert part of the resort to vacation ownership. The current Ocean and Beach wings of the project are in the process of being redesigned and reconfigured to accommodate the new timeshare which WCIT completed interior design and architecture model rooms as their first task in 2016. This renovation project will introduce a visual uplift that incorporates modern aesthetic yet historic architectural features iconic of the resort and its surrounding community. The project includes replacement of soft goods such as carpeting, beds, furniture and most interior items , all will be done in phases beginning June 2017.
