World renowned for its award winning innovative “New Style” Japanese cuisine, Nobu continues to offer savvy diners across the globe a culinary adventure. Known for its excellence around the world, Nobu continues to attract fans worldwide for its enduring atmosphere and continuous reinvention of genre-defining cuisine. With a premier position in the cultural heart of Honolulu and vibrant district of Ward Village, it will provide the ultimate Nobu experience. Designed in coordination with Malibu based architect Studio PCH, WCIT Architecture has added this restaurant gem to the Waiea project as part of Ward Village. Nobu Honolulu has relocated from its Waikīkī location to Kewalo at the ground level facing mauka of the 37 floor ultra-luxury Waiea resident tower. The restaurant expanded with a robust bar/lounge, guests can feel free to socialize, casually imbibe cocktails and enjoy small bites, and get the full Nobu treatment without the formal dining experience. Nobu moved from the Waikiki Parc Hotel, a sister hotel to the adjacent Halekulani hotel, which is expected to close for extensive renovations. Nobu Honolulu, founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and actor Robert De Niro, will encompass nearly 11,000-square-feet of indoor and outdoor space.
The new restaurant at the 60-acre Ward Village master-planned community includes a private Teppan Room, one of the few Nobu Teppan Rooms around the world. An expansive curtain wall extends the entire length of the restaurant to provide guests and the public the opportunity to experience the progression of the restaurant as it blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor.
